Video Of Blizzard Execs Joking About Over-Sexualized Female Characters Resurfaces

A video has resurfaced from a World of Warcraft panel at BlizzCon 2010 that could qualify for a Curb Your Meme video. The video shows a woman asking if they would make a female character in World of Warcraft that did not “look like they’ve stepped out of a Victoria’s Secret catalog.”

The all-male panel, including both J. Allen Brack & Alex Afrasiabi, just laughed and asked which catalog they would prefer they have come out of.

J. Allen Brack, who currently serves as President of Blizzard, sent an e-mail to Blizzard staff saying that the allegations were “extremely troubling” and that he would be trying to meet with many of their employees “to answer questions and discuss how we can move forward.” Alex Afrasiabi was one of the people specifically mentioned by name in the lawsuit with noted examples of blatant sexual harassment with little to not repercussions.
