Square Enix have announced they have acquired 20 percent equity in Bulkhead Interactive. This young studio worked on Battalion 1994 and The Turing Test. The partnership will see Square Enix helping with the development of Battalion 1994 while it’s still in Early Access and will also be working on a new unannounced IP.
Bulkhead Interactive CEO Joe Brammer said in the press release:
“It’s been a great experience working with Phil and the team at Square Enix. They’ve always been supportive, looking out for the interests of us as well as the games we’ve worked on, and this opportunity to build on that relationship is a great next step for the studio as we expand and search for new talent to join our team.”
