Kenichiro Takaki, Producer of the Senran Kagura series, announced via Twitter that the franchise has now officially sold over 1 million copies worldwide since its inception back in 2011. Takaki noted that is currently really busy working on games that he didn’t notice that it had reached this milestone until he was notified.
The number is expected to rise quickly as Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson was just released today in Europe while Senran Kagura: Estival Versus has yet to be released outside of Asia at this time. Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson will be released in North America on September 15.
