Rumor: Two Next-Gen Xbox Models To Be Announced At E3 2019

According to French outlet JeuxVideo, Microsoft plan on revealing two models of the next generation Xbox console at E3 2019.

The site claims that both models are working on the codenames “Lockhart” and “Anaconda.” The Lockhart model would be an entry-level console and focus solely on digital with no disc drive included. The Anaconda model would include a disc drive and be priced around the current price of the Xbox One X.

The console would reportedly release in Q4 2020 and have Halo: Infinite as a launch title and feature SSDs instead of traditional HDDs. The consoles would also include the same size SSD and CPU, but feature different GPUS and RAM. Lockhart is rumored to have a 4+ Teraflop GPU with 12GB of GDDR6 memory while Anaconda would have a 12+ Teraflop GPU and 16GB of GDDR6 memory.

Please keep in mind this is still a rumor and nothing has been confirmed. Even The Verge senior editor Tom Warren chimed in on ResetEra that rumored hardware specifications are not accurate.
