Report: Voice Actor Strike Imminent?

SAGAFTRA_logo

Several members of the voice acting community are working with SGA-AFTRA, the largest union for video game actors in the U.S., to work on negotiations involving worker rights and performance bonuses, which may lead to a strike if something isn’t worked out soon.

Many have been voicing out on social media using #PerformanceMatters and #IAmOnBoard2015. Several big name voice actors have joined in to support the campaign such as D.C. Douglas, Ken Lally, Neil Kaplan, and Wil Wheaton.

SGA-AFTRA has been negotiating with some of the largest video game companies dating as far back as February, but have yet to reach an agreement. Votes are set to be tallied on October 5 and if things don’t go according to plan, a strike will happen.
