Razor Inc. has released that they have purchased the android based console maker OUYA today. This could be a substantial deal considering the capabilities of the folks behind Razer and how successful OUYA was at bringing Android games to your TV. As you can see from what Co-Founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan had to say about the acquisition on Facebook, we can expect OUYA to live on in a new way.
OUYA was the result of a very successful Kickstarter. Having made 8.5 Million Dollars to get their business rolling, it did well at first but as of 2014 it started to struggle due to lack of support from developers. Razer seems to have a great plan in set for the future of OUYA and hopefully they can bring this to fruition.
