[UPDATED (AGAIN)] ‘Rainbow Six’ Fans Left In Cold Despite “Guaranteed Access” To Siege Beta

RB6-CodeRedeemed

UPDATE (9/30/2015): This morning, I received a response from Ubisoft Support confirming that the support team has manually added the Siege Beta to the Uplay libraries of users who had not yet received a key but had redeemed a code for access.  If you’ve been waiting for a key and haven’t gotten it yet, check your UPlay library!

UPDATE (9/29/2015): Today, many frustrated fans woke up to a copy of Rainbow Six Siege in their UPlay Account today after contacting Ubisoft’s Support team.  No word from Ubisoft yet on when these copies were delivered to users, but for many, that is irrelevant.

Last week, Ubisoft launched the closed beta for the long anticipated next installment in the Rainbow Six series Rainbow Six: Siege and despite redeeming codes for “guaranteed access,” many fans of the series (myself included) have been left out in the cold.  Frustrated fans have taken to Reddit, and the Ubisoft forums over the past several days, and with the beta coming to a close this Thursday, chances of getting to try out the game before the beta ends aren’t looking good.

On Friday, Ubisoft Community Developer Chase “Electr1cPanda” Straight posted on the forums that all codes for pre-orders had been distributed, and the remaining guaranteed access codes were in the process of being sent, and he followed up the post on Sunday stating that all of these codes had been distributed.  Many fans though are still waiting, and some wondering how Ubisoft will make up for this blunder.
