Pokemon Games Pass 300 Million Copies Sold

According to Famitsu, the Pokémon franchise has now sold over 300 million copies of their video games worldwide. This not only includes the Pokémon RPG games, but also spinoff titles such as Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon Pinball, Pokken Tournament, and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon.

The first Pokémon games (Pocket Monsters Green and Red) were released in Japan in 1996 while Pokémon Red and Blue released outside the region. The last of the first generation games was Pokémon Yellow which released in 1998 and 1999.
