No Man’s Sky Wins Innovation Award At GDC 2017

It what has caused an uproar among gamers, Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky won the Innovation Award at Game Developers Conference. No Man’s Sky beat out other games such as Firewatch, The Witness, and Pokemon Go.

It’s worth mentioning that in this category, voters recognize the technology behind a game and not the overall quality. Also Sean Murray did not accept the award during the ceremony. As a matter of fact, nobody within the studio was in the room when they won the award. According to Hello Games Code Lead Innes McKendrick, they were all eating dinner.
