Needham Managing Director Gets Blasted For Not Knowing Ninja’s Real Name

Earlier today during Power Lunch on CNBC, Needham Managing Director Laura Martin discussed Twitch and what the future could hold now that Microsoft is shutting down Mixer. Right out of the gate Martin mention Ninja and she said “there’s a video gamer named Ninja, he has a real name but no one knows what it is.” It also didn’t help that right afterwards she said that Ninja earned $10 million playing Fortnite on Twitch in 2008. This got the attention of Rod “Slasher” Breslau who took to Twitter to share the clip and roast CNBC for inviting an expert analyst who couldn’t even do a 10 second Google search to find these answers.

Ninja seems that have taken it in a non-serious way by posting the Pablo Escobar Waiting meme.

For those curious, Fortnite did not release until 2017 and Twitch entered beta in 2011 as a gaming spinoff to Justin.TV.
