NCSoft Announces Date for WildStar Free-to-Play Launch

NCSoft has had several issues ever since Wildstar was released. They started off with a decent amount of subscribers at launch, but it quickly faded away in less than 60 days. With low subscription numbers and layoffs the company decided to just let the game for free-to-play. Of course the free-to-play beta is available to everyone who is a subscriber and certain hand picked players who signed up, NCSoft did give us an update in the situation.

NCSoft and Carbine Studios announced today that WildStar’s free-to-play update will launch 29th September, 2015. Additionally, the second phase of the closed beta test is set to begin tomorrow, focusing on fine-tuning the update’s changes prior to release.
