Grab Your Wallet Alliance Looking Into GameStop

The nonprofit watchdog group Grab You Wallet Alliance have announced they are currently looking into GameStop due to the alleged poor handling of providing sanitary products.

Shannon Coulter, President of Grab Your Wallet Alliance, posted the following on the GameStop subreddit:

Hi, everyone! Shannon from Grab Your Wallet Alliance here. We’re a watchdog nonprofit that encourages ethical policies and practices at corporations. As the result of a post that was apparently made by someone in this forum today, we have been hearing from MANY Gamestop employees. They have reported unsanitary conditions, a lack of cleaning supplies, and a policy that prevents them from refusing to handle used equipment, even if the owner appears to be ill.

I created a Reddit account just so I could let you all know that we are ON it in terms of reaching out to the company to ask about its decision to remain open during the national emergency.

We reached out to the head of comms at Gamestop today and we also flagged the issue to several business reporters who have written about Gamestop before including one at The Dallas Morning News. We just wanted to let you know that we hear you and we’ll keep at it until we get a satisfactory response from the company. Thank you for getting in touch and letting us know! Stay strong and know that we’re fighting for you.
