GameStop Steals Fan Art To Advertise Super Smash Bros. For Switch

Advertising is nothing new, but some times ethics can be called into play. One of those ethics that sadly exist is stealing images from others and not giving credit to the creators. This is even more embarrassing when the image is fan art and you’re a publicly traded company on Wall Street.

According to Milo Williams, GameStop stole his fan art for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. game for Switch and used it as promotional material. What makes it even more obvious is that Milo uploaded the original photo on February 23 and it even features characters that have not been announced. This includes Spring Man, the Ice Climbers, and Bomberman.

GameStop have yet to comment on the matter.
