For Honor Tournament Organizer Issues Apology After 15 Year Old Wins Tournament

A couple of days ago we reported that a For Honor tournament in Japan has received loads of criticism after a 15-year-old won the tournament despite the game having a CERO Z rating within the country. This has caused so much publicity that Junichi Matsumoto, the Director of the organization that put on the tournament, has released the following statement..

We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to the participants, viewers, and related parties without establishing the agreement on age restriction at “JCG For Honor” operated by JCG Co., Ltd.

It was a mistake made by the management. Even in the final match of the For Honor tournament held at “UBIDAY 2017”, the age of the competitor was not confirmed. I am very sorry for this inconvenience.

In the future, we will revise the participation age in accordance with the age classification mark of CERO.
