The Donkey Kong Blog, a site dedicated to the Donkey Kong competitive scene, has revealed that the world record for highest score in Donkey Kong has finally been broken. The previous record holder was Hank Chien with 1,138,600. Now a new champion by the name of Robbie Lakeman has narrowly surpassed the world record with a score of 1,141,800. Lakeman normally broadcasts his attempts online via Twitch TV, but this one he was instead uploaded to Twitch afterwards, which was later confirmed by Donkey Kong Blog that the footage was not tampered and was 100% real.
