Craig Lieberman Reveals Details On Cancelled Need For Speed TV Show

In a new video uploaded by Craig Lieberman, the former Technical Advisor for The Fast and Furious franchise revealed that he pitched to Lionsgate and Electronic Arts to create a tuner challenge concept called Need for Speed. This show would have tied in to the first Need for Speed Underground game which Lieberman worked in an advisory role with the development of the game.

The show would have featured teams competing against one another in a series of challenges. This included things such as lap time challenge, a judged car show, online fan polling, fastest install of a Nitrous kit, 1 minute to grab any car part in a store, stereo system competition, and a finale where someone on each team would have to set the fastest time in the R34 Skyline featured on the cover of Need for Speed Underground.

Several factors contributed to the show not even making it into production such as the over saturation of car shows in the mid 2000s
