Childhood Ruined: Games Turning 15 Years Old In 2018

It’s crazy to think that all the great games released in back in 2003 will be turning 15 years old this year. That year saw major franchises be born such as .hack, Splinter Cell, and Call of Duty. 2003 also saw the Famicom and Super Famicom end production while the mobile market gained traction with the release on the Game Boy Advance SP, N-Gage, and the first prototype of the PSP being unveiled.

In developer news, it was a very sad year as several studios shut down including Data East, The 3DO Company, Black Isle Studios, Compile, and Silicon Dreams Studio.

Some of the great titles released that year include the following…

Midnight Club II
Viewtiful Joe
Kirby Air Ride
Mega Man X7
Jak II
True Crime: Streets of LA
Beyond Good & Evil
Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne
Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando
Monster Rancher 4
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PC)
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Manhunt
SimCity 4
The Getaway
