The country of Bolivia have filed a complaint again Ubisoft regarding Ghost Recon: Wildlands. The complaint revolves around the game’s depiction of the country as Wildlands depicts it as overran with drug cartels. Bolivia’s Interior Minister Carlos Romero said..

“We have the standing to [take legal action], but at first we prefer to go the route of diplomatic negotiation.”

Ubisoft have since issued comments saying the reason they picked Bolivia due to its “magnificent landscapes and rich culture” and that the game is a work of fiction as its “a different reality than the one that exists in Bolivia today.”
