Blizzard Says They Wanted To “Preserve The True Spirit” Of Warcraft III Cutscenes

Blizzard have received some major backlash with the launch of Warcraft III: Reforged with several things that longtime players have considered a major slap in the face. One of these was the cutscenes which shows a massive difference between the ones show at BlizzCon 2018 and the 2020 game.

In response to this issue, Blizzard released a statement on the issue that they wanted to “preserve the true spirit” of the original game. Stating:

“We went a little deeper into the thought process behind that at the = show, but the main takeaway is that the campaigns tell one of the classic stories in Warcraft history, and we want to preserve the true spirit of Warcraft 3 and allow players to relive these unforgettable moments as they were (albeit rebuilt with new animations and the higher fidelity art).”

Needless to say the community have stuck to their anger.
