BitSummit 2015 Announced

For those of you who live in the land of the rising sun, or for those who are looking for an excuse to vacation in Japan we have some great news for you. BitSummit 2015, the largest Indie Game Festival in Japan, has officially been announced. This years festival will take place in Kyoto Japan at the Miyako Messe on July 11 and 12. This year get got some really big sponsors including GungHo, Unity, Valve, Sony, and Microsoft just to name a few. As of now over 80 Indie Games will be featured.

Kyoto, Japan – June 29th, 2015

Japan’s leading independent game development festival, BitSummit, unveiled the line-up of sponsors, media partners and developers participating in the show via the newly updated website. BitSummit will be held July 11th and 12th in Kyoto, Japan.

 

BitSummit is proud to announce that Unity, CyberAgent, Cygames,Microsoft, and GungHo have come on board to be the primary sponsors for this year’s show. They join a host of other sponsors, including Sony, Nifty Cloud,Valve, Tapjoy, GTune, to help showcase Japan’s best in independent games.

In addition to our great sponsors, BitSummit this year is being supported by media partners Famitsu, Dengeki PlayStation, and US Gamer. These media outlets will be providing exclusive coverage of the event in the form of exclusive interviews, live streams of the show, and hands-on of some of the game of the show.

 

Finally, BitSummit is happy to share the list of indie games that will grace the show floor this year. This year we have over 80 on a variety of platforms, from PC to console to mobile devices in almost every genre imaginable. There will also be an Indie MEGABOOTH section of BitSummit sponsored by Devolver Digitaland Iron Galaxy, where you’ll find great indie games from overseas making their debut in Japan. On the newly updated BitSummit website, visitors can findpress kits of the games appearing at the show. You’ll also find a list of all the developers participating at the bottom of this press release.

 

The event will be held in the historic Miyako Messe, in the heart of scenic Kyoto. Last year’s event brought over 100 local developers, 5000 attendees and global support from sponsors like Unity, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, and Microsoft Japan, to name a few. This year’s event will continue the BitSummit tradition by bringing in the best and brightest Japanese development teams, musical acts, the BitSummit awards ceremony, developer-focused networking events and exciting new surprises for fans!
