Bethesda Reveals Why Fallout 4 Graphics Are Dialed Back

Ever since the first Fallout 4 trailer was released everyone seemed to find something to complain about. In this case it was the graphics looking the same as it did in Fallout: New Vegas. In a sitdown with Gamespot, Bethesda Lead Producer Pete Hines revealed that the graphics were dialed back in favor for more complex systems such as interactive environments. Hines said..

“Everything that we do is a balance. We could make the best looking game possible, but we dial some of that back in order to allow for all of these other things.”

When asked about the open-world freedom players will get he said “If you want to pick flowers and make potions all day, then that’s what you’re role-playing. If you want to go shoot everybody in the head with a laser-musket, then that’s what you’re role-playing.”

Hines even went on to say that the world is so big that he has spent over 400 hours in the game and is still discovering new things.

Fallout 4 will be released on November 10
