Battlefield 2042 Devs Say AI Bots Will Be “Very Hard” To Tell Apart From Gamers

In a recent interview with VG247, Ripple Effect senior design director Justin Wiebe said that the team have been very hard at work on their anticipated shooting game Battlefield 2047. In the interview, Wiebe notes there is a focus on the AI and that gamers will have a hard time distinguishing what is an AI and who is a fellow gamer. Stating:

“We’ve tried to put a lot of effort into making them play just like a player would. So it would be really hard for people to tell the difference between an AI and a real human player because they will run around, they will drive vehicles, they will pick each other up, they will drop [each other] off at objective locations and things like that – it’s a very intelligent system. And then you can tweak and tune some of the things they are and aren’t allowed to do, including how difficult they are to play against.”

Battlefield 2042 releases on October 22 for Xbox One, Xbox Series, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, and PC.
