Sad news to report as Bluepoint Games have revealed that co-founder Andy O’Neil has died at the age of 47.
O’Neil immigrated from England to Austin Texas where he worked for Acclaim. During his time there he worked on both Turok: Shadow of Oblivion and Turok: Rage Wars.
In 2006, O’Neil and Marco Thrush founded Bluepoint Games who went to remaster games for the Playstation 3 and 4 including Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, God of War Collection, Shadow of the Colossus, and Gravity Rush.
His memorial service will take place at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Weed-Corley-Fish North Chapel, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas and another will take place in England in the coming days.
