According to a U.K. divorce website called Divorce-Online, 5% of the total separations in the U.K. are now related to Fortnite and Fortnite addiction.
While gaming addiction is real, many believe that this study was not well researched as it comes from 4,665 petitions and roughly translate to 200 of these being related to Fortnite. Others have questioned how much of this is solely related to Fortnite and not only well-known addicting games such as World of Warcraft and The Sims, but also social media.
