$1.5 Billion In Video Games Sold Within United States During Month Of April

While COVID-19 has caused major setbacks around the world, it has helped pass the time during all of these state-at-home orders. Especially in the United States.

According to NPD Analyst Mat Piscatella, total video games sales for the month of April 2020 reached an estimated $1.5 billion within the United States. This is an increase of 73% compared to last year.

It’s speculated by The NPD Group that the top 10 selling games were as follows:

1. Final Fantasy VII: Remake
2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
3. Animal Crossing: New Horizons
4. NBA 2K20
5. Grand Theft Auto 5
6. Resident Evil 3
7. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: Remastered
8. MLB The Show 20
9. Madden NFL 20
10. Red Dead Redemption 2

It is worth noting that lots of publishers do not release their sales numbers to the public and Activision Blizzard do not release Battle.net numbers.
