MLG Dallas Still Experiencing Problems

As day 3 of MLG Dallas has officially started. Viewers are still experiencing streaming issues. MLG has released yet another statement.

MLG would like to give you an update on the technical issues that we’ve been experiencing this weekend. Overnight, MLG’s crew drove in some new equipment from Houston that we had hoped would offer a solution to the internet connection issues that have been causing interruptions to our broadcast and tournament play. The team worked straight through the night to install and configure the equipment, but as of now, we are still having stability issues that are preventing us from broadcasting a quality stream.

“We will keep you updated as we make headway on the situation. In the meantime, the streams will remain inactive. The tournament is continuing, and we will be giving you updates through the live blog and news sections of our site. We are truly sorry that these problems are persisting, and we’re doing everything we can to quickly resolve them.”

Issues From MLG Dallas

Many viewers of the Major League Gaming Circuit reported having problems trying to get access to the live streams on MLG’s official website. MLG has address the issue by releasing this…

“Since our previous update regarding our stability issues with our LIVE broadcast, we have been working on-site to further identify the problem.
Our tech team has determined that our broadcast streams are being interrupted because of issues with equipment operated by the local internet service provider in Dallas. We continue to explore an alternative distribution method in order to deliver an uninterrupted live broadcast for the remainder of the weekend.

In the meantime, MLG casters will begin commentating replays from the tournament and we will continue to release replay files as quickly as we can get them uploaded.

Due to the inconvenience, those that purchased MLG HQ passes can opt for a full refund or a free pass for the MLG HQ for the Columbus Pro Circuit event. Refunds and pass credits will be accommodated next week and further instructions will be provided in the coming days. In the meantime, we have stopped selling MLG HQ passes, and will not resume until we are comfortable with the stability and quality of the viewing experience.

Thank you for your continued patience.”

MLG has used a program called Octoshape to run their events in previous years. This year they are using Infinity.
