Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Delayed Yet Again

Written by Ryan Shoptaw Published Saturday, May 14, 2011

As if it really comes to anyone’s surprise. Ubisoft has announced that Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has been delayed yet again.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot spoke during an investor’s conference call and said that it is delayed to avoid competition during the holidays. Anyone else notice that this is the exact same excuse they said last year when they delayed it?

Below is what Guillemot had to say…

“It will be released in fiscal Q4 as we want first to have the best quality possible, as well as to avoid the very crowded Christmas landscape in the shooter genre. Due to a very competitive environment we’ve decided to move the game out of the Christmas quarter into the march quarter. It will also provide more time to our development teams to realize their ambition.”

There still isn’t even word on the beta.
